Happy Endings

April - June  2004

These are some of our adopted Goldens
who have gone on to their new homes!

Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear is cuddly like a Teddy Bear and so -- his name. He now have his very own family with whom to cuddle.

Forest

Forest is a very happy girl to have a new home with a new doggie friend. She had quite an adventure in coming to rescue and was still healing from injuries when a family fell in love with her and offered to continue her care and give her a home. For more on Forest's story, please click here.

Rainbow

When Rainbow came to rescue, she was a shy Golden girl who probably had spent her life in a kennel. She had had puppies not long before coming to rescue and was very thin.  She quickly blossomed in her foster home to the extent that she was able to march in a parade with our rescue group, and, as in the picture, even lead the way in front of our banner.  Rainbow found a great home with a family who met her at the end of the parade.  She is now enjoying being part of a family and having lots of love.

Kharma

Kharma was injured (probably hit by a car) not long before coming to rescue.  She bounced back from her injuries and quickly won the hearts of her foster family and now is staying there permanently.

Grace

Grace is a happy girl who brings joy wherever she goes.  She has a lot to be happy about now that she has found a loving home with a doggie buddy.

Bob

Senior boy Bob is a big boy, tipping the scales at 100 pounds plus.  He is a gentle giant who has found a loving home with another senior Golden.

Cheyenne

Cheyenne is an active young girl who is having lots of fun in her new home.

JackDog

JackDog is a lively nine year old Golden/lab mix who has found a loving home where he gets what he wants most--lots of attention.

Leilani (April)

April is enjoying life in her new home where she's getting the attention she craves.  She is now named Leilani (pronounced Lay-LAHN-ee) which is Hawaiian for "royal child".

Dolly Madison

Dolly Madison was painfully shy when she came to rescue, having spent the prior year living in the crawl space under a house. She blossomed in her foster home and even earned her Canine Good Citizen title. She was very lucky to become a part of her foster family who is now her forever home.

Wilma

Wilma is a happy girl who is even happier to be in her new home. She is now named Emily and is having lots of fun and looking forward to obedience class.

Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown is enjoying life and staying close to his new family. He has a new senior mix sister. He has picked out a new favorite toy, a large yellow duck.

Tanner

Tanner is a special boy who has neurological problems which cause him to be slow and unable to balance well. He has found a special home who loves him as he is.

Tasha

Tasha was very shy when she first came to rescue, probably from spending her life in a kennel. She quickly blossomed in her foster home and has found a loving home where she can continue to blossom and have a fun life.

Carly

Holly (who is now named Carly) went to a special home who appreciates her 13 year young spirit.

Sweetheart

Sweetheart was found wandering with a gunshot wound through her chest and a dangling front leg. As she healed, she had limited use of the front leg, and we aren't sure whether it will need to be amputated. Sweetheart has found a home which plans to take care of her regardless of the outcome on her leg. Sweetheart now has a Golden brother and the prospect of a life filled with love and fun ahead of her.

Bogart

Bogart gets lots of attention in his new home and is very happy with his daily long walks.

Scarlet

Scarlet is very loved in her new home. She has a Golden playmate who she adores. She is enjoying being a "Velcro dog" and following her new family around the house.

Louis (now Hogan)

Louie, who is now named Hogan, is having a blast playing with his new pug brother and enjoying life in a loving home.
