Samuel

Sam is a sweet, gentle 6 year old golden who will be a wonderful addition to the right home. Sam came from a home with children and is now in a foster home with children - he is a perfect gentleman with kids! He loves attention and will nudge his foster family's hands when he is feeling a bit lonely.  His tail seems to wag nonstop when his "people" are around. Sam had an undiagnosed thyroid problem when he came to LAGR, but has started medication and become a new dog. He loves to chase a ball in the backyard, enjoys going on short walks, and is learning how to play with another dog. Due to the thyroid problem and some overfeeding issues, Sam is a bit heavier than is healthy for him. He is currently on a diet and responding well to the changes. Sam is potty trained and has had no accidents in his foster home. This golden boy is a true gem.

Jolly

Jolly is a new intake and we are getting to know him. He is on the shy side as his life to this point has been that of being a daddy. He is being treated for ear infections. He has a wonderful temperament and is gorgeous looking.

Benny

Benny is a very sweet senior who is looking for a home that will love him during his senior years, he does have arthritis which limits him a little. His sweetness makes up for his limitations. We estimated he is 10 years old.

Einstein

Einstein is a young man but my experience has been nothing but perfect. The big lug does have a lot of energy to play but if you are just wanting to relax he is perfect for that. He loves being with his people! He came to me with a reputation as a counter surfer and I have had a couple examples of that but just a little training and I have been able to leave a pizza on the stove without it being touched. Let's not think he is beyond temptation though. Steiny (good name) loves to chase his ball like that is a surprise. He has not chewed anything in the house except his toys. He does go through the tennis balls. He does have a habit of grabbing a sock out of the hamper and carrying it around. I have noticed this with Goldens not sure why but he does not tear it up just carries it around. He is 100% housebroken although in his foster home he has learned that furniture is the sleeping area. He is so willing to please however this will be easy to break in his forever home if that is the case. He is not a jumper except when you first get home and that is my fault but even then he is super gentle stands on his back legs and gently puts his paws on you. l. He has interacted with many children as well and is nothing but a gentleman. I cannot praise this young man enough .

Roman

Roman just turned two and is looking for a very special home to call his own forever. He is a very sweet boy that loves to play ball and tug of war. And his face just screams "Please love me!" He is a little unsure of himself, since he had kind of a rough start in life. But since being in his foster home, he has learned may manners like sit, down, wait, give and come. But obedience training is still recommended to help boost his confidence and reinforce these commands with his new people. He has a very athletic build and would like a yard with a fence so that he can run and jump and play.

Elton

Elton is a young man, estimated to be 6 to 8 months at intake in October 08. He is from a shelter and is learning how to live in a home.

Adoption Pending

Rigby

Rigby is a young Golden mix, that someone must have dumped off in the country. This poor dog had never been in a house before, and he has done amazingly well. He is house trained already, and is so well behaved. He has already learned to sit and come, within the first two days. Rigby is very good with kids, and is extremely happy, which is obvious with the constant tail wagging! He is still a puppy and has quite a bit of energy, but he loves to please people. He is crate trained, though he needs to be persuaded in there (which we are working on). He is an extremely fast runner, and needs a fenced yard to run in. Since he has not ever been in a home before, he has not been exposed to many indoor things, and is a little nervous. He is absolutely gorgeous, and cannot wait to find his forever home!
