We have a litter of Golden/Lab puppies who will be ready for our Foster to Adopt Program at the beginning of September,  only males remaining.   They are very smart and well socialized little guys, there foster home has done stimulation exercises since they were a week old.   Both Mom and Dad have great personalities.

We do not adopt to families with children under 4 and we prefer a fenced yard.

Drew
Drew was a stray who was turned over to Love A Golden Rescue by some very nice people! He is a big beautiful golden boy, probably about three to four years old.  He is in a foster home and doing well.  He is house broken and very well behaved.  He is a big boy and needs to lose a few more pounds.  He gets along very well with his foster family dog, however, he would probably due best as an only dog as he wants to be alpha dog.  He will also require a fenced yard and children over 12 years of age due to his size. He is in training to improve his leash walking skills.  He knows sit and shake already.

Nikon
Nikon is a very well behaved two year old golden mixed.  He is housebroken-never had an accident in the house.  When he walks he prances and his tail is always wagging.   He doesn't pull when you take him out for a walk.  He's a very happy guy.  He gets along well with other dogs.  He doesn't bark and doesn't steal food or any other items from table or countertops. He's a medium sized dog who doesn't jump up on people. Friends have raved about how well behaved and lovable he is. He is a great companion who needs a loving home.

Samm

Samm came to our group from a shelter.  He is approximately 5 years old.  He is a big boy but so gentle.  His foster family calls him “a gentle giant”.  He is being treated for heartworm, so he has to be kept relatively quiet which is not a problem for him.  He is a very quiet, calm boy.  He loves to be around other dogs as well as people.  He knows basic commands and walks pretty good on a leash.  Once he is finished with his heartworm treatment and can get more exercise and go for longer walks, his foster family feels he will improve even more.  He is crate trained although he prefers to be with the rest of his foster pack.  Right now, he is looking for some foster buddies to help defray the cost of his treatment.  He will be ready to meet and greet people and find his new forever home in September.

Lucas

Lucas is a new intake, estimated to be 18 months.    We are getting to know him and will update later.  He was a stray running up and down the highway in a rural area .

Walter
Walter is a mix.  He looks like a small Bernese Mountain Dog.  He weights 50 lbs and has a temperament of a Golden.   He came from a shelter which was full and needed space.  He is approx 1 1/2 and he is a love.    He is looking for a home who will give him the love he deserves, teach him manners and have fun with him.

Haulsey

Haulsey  is a Golden Retriever/Irish Setter Mix.   He is 10 years old.    He was surrendered by his owner due to having to travel and no where for Haulsey to go.  He also came shaved and his hair is growing back slowly.  He is an easy going guy and likes the comforts of home.  He would prefer to be an only dog    He had Entropian surgery in one eye which is now healed .
