Pope
is a one year old not-so-golden. He is a happy-go-lucky, playful
boy, who also loves to snuggle. He fancies himself quite the
hunter, and loves to chase birds, squirrels, butterflies, crickets and
frogs. He will sit in the back yard and watch the birds and
squirrels in the trees. He likes kids, and loves to play with the
two goldens in his foster home. His forever family should have an
endless supply of Nylabones or other sturdy chew toys. Ideally,
they’d walk him often, and/or have another dog for him to play
with.
If
I had written this bio yesterday, I could have honestly said that he
doesn’t chew on anything inappropriate. He has discovered my
slippers though, so I can’t say that. The good news is that he
likes lefts just as much as rights, so they have been pretty evenly
chewed.
Before
Pope came to rescue, he was hit by a car (when he was about 8 months
old). He has a plate in his back leg, and there was also damage
to his growth plate, so that leg is a little wonky, but it doesn’t slow
him down in the slightest. He has been evaluated and this is the
way he will be. We’ll share his x-rays and vet records with you
if you’re the lucky family who decides to adopt Pope. You
honestly don’t want to miss out on this boy. He is a gem of a
puppy!!
