Adopt A Pet

Teddy

Adoption Pending
Male Doodle

Teddy has blossomed into a playful goldendoodle while in his foster home since the end of March.  He is 2 ˝ and was rescued from a breeder and was very anxious.  Overtime he became more comfortable with human interaction and began to play with toys.  He now finds great comfort in toys, laying amongst them to nap.  He has his favorites.  He has learned to fetch and loves running after balls on the tennis court.  He gets the puppy “zoomies” on occasion and runs very fast, barely making the corner to finish his lap.  He loves to snuggle with his human on the couch and at bedtime.  He comes up and asks for attention with his nose.  He can sit and LOVES getting his morning chicken foot.  He walks best on a halter but does not potty on a leash.  He likes his environment to stay the same.  He is apprehensive to change once he has his rhythm-such as a laundry basket at the top of the stairs.  He has become quite attached to his human which reinforces his ability to attach to another human.  He seems comfortable with children-although his exposure has been limited, and has been in a home with another dog. If he senses the other dog trying to snuggle with his human, he is quickly there to get his spot.  He would benefit from a human that would give him the time and attention to allow him to adjust and a schedule and environment that his routine.

Teddy's forever home should be familiar with a dog from a breeder.  He needs time to adjust and these dogs often go backward in behavior with changes such as a new home.
