My
name is Lexi and I am a doodle, a Goldendoodle! I have soft, wavy hair
that is cream-colored with reddish highlights. I am three
years old, a svelte 80 lbs. and stand 28” at the
shoulder. Besides being adorable, I am sweet and very
affectionate and bond readily. I settled in quickly and am
enjoying my stay with my foster family (including Harvey, the resident
Golden).
I
know quite a few behavior cues and am learning more every
day. I know ’sit’, ‘down’, ‘touch’, ‘wait’, ‘free’,
‘leave it’, ‘drop it’, ‘take it’ and more. I am a smart pup,
don’t you think! Oh, and I have a great recall but still
need the added safety of a fenced yard.
I
am truly a social butterfly; stylish looks and all! I make
friends wherever I go. That said, I do prefer to be the one
to initiate the greeting. (I’m a bit of a princess, in that
way ;-). Out on walks, I woof once or twice to let my person
know that I have observed a potential new friend. Speaking
of outings; I walk calmly on a loose leash.
I do have Addison’s disease which requires medications which can get a bit pricey. But,
when provided with these, my prognosis is excellent! I can expect to
live a happy and (otherwise) healthy life with a normal life span.
Just
for the record, I am house broken, crate trained, love car rides and
outings of all sorts! And rumor has it, besides liking people and dogs,
I am cat friendly. I can get a bit grabby when eager to take
hold of a toy or such. Therefore, although I am working on quelling
this urge, I would need to be in a home without small children.
Did I mention that I was a total sweetheart?
