AN EMERGENCY
MEDICAL DOG
Due to the virus ALL of our 2020 fund-raisers,
which usually fully fund all our rescues
in need of medical care, have been cancelled.
Gretchen's surgeries are very expensive and
she is asking for FOSTER
BUDDIES
to help with the expense. It will be a very long time
before she is ready for adoption.
She will need to recover from both the surgeries,
become
comfortable with the world and trained to not be a flight risk.
Gretchen
FOSTER BUDDY SPECIAL NEEDS
NOT READY FOR ADOPTION
Female
Gretchen is a very sweet girl, small at 50 lbs. She
was 15 months when she came to rescue from a breeder in July 2020 and
had recently had a litter of puppies. Gretchen was released from
the breeder when it was discovered she had bad hips. Her first
surgery following her rescue will be at the beginning of September; the
second surgery 10 to 12 weeks later.
Gretchen is not at all familiar with city noises, cars etc.. however
she has become comfortable in her foster home and yard but has far to
go in the big world. Each day she is excited to go on a
walk but once outside she is very wary. Her foster home counts her
success by how many houses she can walk by each day. At first it
was a matter of only feet, but as of this writing she did four
houses. This will be a very important part of her rehab so the
goal before surgery is to get her comfortable and be able to walk
around the cul de sac.
Due
to the virus ALL of our 2020
fund-raisers, which usually fully fund all our rescues in need of
medical care, have been cancelled. Gretchen's surgeries are very
expensive and she is asking for FOSTER BUDDIES to help with the
expense. It will be a very long time before she is ready
for
adoption. She will need to recover from both the surgeries,
become
comfortable with the world and trained to not be a flight risk.
