Claire is a special needs girl who was born with abnormal size kidneys.  Her DOB is December 12th 2020.  She came from a breeder.  You would never know she has this condition; she loves walks and life. She loves to be outside searching for critters.  Due to her condition, as long as the correct diet is maintained and she has regular blood checkups, to be sure of the levels she is currently at are maintained, she could have a normal life.   But with all dogs no guarantee.

 

She will destroy a soft toy in no time, so instead she loves Nyla bones and antlers.

 

Like many dogs she refused to eat the dry kidney food, so her foster home cooks for her and has been able to add dry with it along with Purina NF wet kidney food.  It is simple and inexpensive to cook, just time consuming.  Her treats are limited to just at bedtime.  She currently goes to acupuncture once a month, which was recommended for dogs with kidney issues.

 

Claire is a very sweet girl, who gets along with her doggie friends.
