Male Golden Doodle
Meet Bruno, a sweet, 2 year old, golden doodle looking for his forever family. He came to us stressed from the negative transitions in his life, but sweet as can be. The sweetness just continues to grow and his stress continues to shrink as he embraces being a loved, indoor dog.
Despite coming from living outside, Bruno is totally potty trained, and a calm, quiet boy in the house, stretching out for a nap near his people or sitting by the window to keep an eye on the yard. He loves ear and belly rubs and seeks out affection, but does not demand it. Bruno has transitioned from a dog who would not play with toys or play in the backyard to a joyful pup who loves to throw his stuffed animal into the air, bounce to retrieve it and carry it as he runs around the yard. In a short month he has learned basic commands of “come”, “sit” and “down”, to wait to be invited to eat, and is working on “place” and on holding a command for a longer period of time. He is doing very well walking on leash and can “leave it” when something comes across his path – such as a squirrel or the free roaming cat at the vet. When rescued we were told he is friendly with everything and everyone and the foster family whole heartedly agrees. At times when overly excited, Bruno still jumps, but is improving, and quickly realizes sitting gets him more rewards.
Bruno gets stressed when crated and is an escape artist from a crate. . . So the foster family decided not to use the crate and he has done great loose in the house. . . Although let it be known he will counter surf when left to his own devices (thank you home video device) although he is smart enough not to do this when people are around!
Being young, Bruno still has typical learning to do, but he learns fast and a home where he is loved and knows expectations will help him grow to be even more awesome than he already is. Bruno, the golden doodle, will bring joy, love and laughter to his future family’s life.
