Male Great Pyrenees
Cooper is your average 10-month old derpy puppy his DOB is 10/13/2024. Except, he isn’t average in size. He’s huge. Think Clifford the Big Red Dog. Cooper has no idea he is as big as he is and is quite certain that he is a lap dog. He currently weighs 90 pounds, but he isn’t done growing yet. Cooper is a Great Pyrenees who was surrendered because his family was being deployed overseas. He gets along great with other dogs. He isn’t super high energy, so he won’t make a great running partner, but he does like to play with the other dogs in his foster home and run around the back yard.
Cooper likes to go for rides, and does well in the car, but he needs practice on walking nicely on a leash. He knows “sit” but sometimes doesn’t respond to “come” unless he wants to. Great Pyrs can be a bit stubborn. He otherwise responds well to his foster mom. He knows “no”, “leave it”, and “eh eh!”. He is very affectionate (a world-class snuggler) and he kennels beautifully. He has gone to work with his foster mom and has been very well behaved and quiet in the office. He calmly greets coworkers and clients. (He may put his chin on the table at lunch, but hey – it’s the perfect height). Do you need help keeping your kitchen counters uncluttered? Cooper is the dog for you! He will help by stealing most anything from the countertops. Are your floors too clean? He can help with that too. He is quite the shedder. Luckily, he likes getting brushed, and has done very well at his grooming appointments.
This boy is truly a gem, and his foster mom has been impressed with how patient he has been through his neuter and the cone of shame and meds that he was forced to endure afterwards. He is now looking for the perfect forever family and a big couch to share with them.
