Adopt A Pet
Hattie

ADOPTION PENDING
Female Golden

Do you like soft, golden fur and floofy ears and tails?  Are you ready to give endless love with the reward of continued confidence?  Then do we have THE friend for you!

Hattie is a beautiful lady estimated at about 6 years old, and definitely young at heart!  She’s happy to be a companion and warm your toes, but is content to be independent as well. She loves walks and romping outside - with that big floofy tail outstretched!  She loves to chew on soft toys, and really enjoys a good ear scratch.

Lady Hattie has indeed come a long way since her rescue from years as a breeder. She hid in dark corners of the room, was afraid of pretty much every sound and movement, and wasn’t much interested in interacting with humans.  She’s more and more relaxed each day!  Hattie has learned how to play with toys, take treats so gently from hands, and now loves her daily walks!  When she’s in her new home, she’ll be ready to learn some basic commands (even though she’s not very food motivated).  She’s learned so much in her short time, and has been quite the polite and calm house guest.

Dislikes?  She has slight storm anxiety (remedied with Composure Treats and her Thunder Jacket!) and is happy to let you know who is walking by the house when someone isn’t in the room with her :)  She observes newcomers from a distance, but can be easily won over with treats. She continues to build confidence and trust people, and would do very well with another confident dog to be a companion!  She would be great in a home with older kids who know when to give her some space.
